About
The Keane School Of Irish Dancing was first established in September 08, by Melissa Keane T.C.R.G.
Melissa was born and raised in Limerick City, Ireland. At the age of four Melissa started Irish Dancing and from then on her passion for dance grew. During her competitive dancing career Melissa has competed at local, regional, and national level. Melissa’s achievements include placing at major competitions such as Great Britain’s, all Irelands and all Scotland’s. She has also qualified for the world championships on numerous occasions.
At the age of 18 she decided to end her competitive career but remained performing at Bunratty Irish night where she worked as a dancer and entertainer for many travelling tourists.
In May 2008, after a lot of hard work and study Melissa took her T.C.R.G exams in Dublin where she passed with flying colours.
She then opened the Keane School Of Irish Dancing and holds classes in a variety of locations of limerick city. Her classes include both girls and boys of various ages and the school is continuing to grow each week.
Her aim is to teach each individual to reach his or her maximum potential in Irish dance, in a fun and enjoyable environment.
